Our director and preschool teacher, Valerie Seago, has enjoyed working with children for as long as she can remember. She has two wonderful daughters and loves spending time with her family and friends. Valerie graduated from Portland State University with honors, earning her Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Studies, Specializing in Early Childhood Education in Fall 2010. Her desire to direct and teach preschool was driven by her goal to provide high quality education to young children in interesting and engaging ways while providing children with the necessary skills to be ready for kindergarten.  Valerie opened Creative Kids Preschool & Childcare in 2011 and has been served children and families for the past 14 years.  

     She believes children have many different learning styles and interests and gives children opportunities to express themselves through art, drama, building, movement, dance, and various forms of creative expression; which expand on their individuality and increase their self-esteem. She wants all children to have the opportunity to have a fun preschool experience, where they develop a positive attitude about school, a genuine love and interest in learning, where friendships and positive relationships with their peers and teachers are nurtured, and where children are able to develop to their full potential.
